Nicely produced, with clear, good-sized photos of each stitch; "Contents" section provides a useful overview of the stitch selection; it's good to have full info on the yarns used in the samples (pp.126-127)
There are no charts, only text instructions; each pattern appears in at least 2 & sometimes 3 color sequences, which is a useful illustration of how different they can look, but it is hardly fair to count them as different stitch patterns; the patterns are in no particular order. It would have been helpful at least to separate the knit patterns from the crochet ones.
If you already have a good selection of stitch dictionaries, you will probably find quite a bit of overlap. The merits of this are having knit & crochet in the same book, and having similar type of patterns, i.e. ripple, collected together.
