I agree fully with the other reviewer. I fell in love with the previous edition of this calendar: slim, snap closure, perfectly elegant and perfectly functional. It brought me more happiness than a pocket calendar should. I'm very disappointed with the changes they've made. Why mess with perfection? I'm not sure I'll buy the 2013 edition because it's missing almost all the things that made it great. Please bring back the original style next year!

I started using the Weekly Pocket Leather w/pen Engagement Calen

I started using the Weekly Pocket Leather w/pen Engagement Calendar in 2010. I loved this calendar because it was elegant, nice smooth leather, classy looking, had a SNAP CLOSING (a huge plus), and came with a pen. There was enough room for each day of the week to list several appointments and the calendar, because of the snap closing, was compact and it stayed closed so the pages of the calendar didn't fray from carrying it in a purse. I am so disappointed that the design of this calendar was changed to thicker leather and no longer has the snap closure. This newer version doesn't have half the class that previous year's versions did. This was a big mistake to change the design of this calendar. I am so disappointed that I am only giving it 1 Star and that is because I have to provide a Star Rating between 1 and 5. Personally, I do not think this new design warrants a 0 rating - No Stars!

Barnes & Noble take note. You have another very disappointed customer. I want the snap. It made a huge difference. This different version has the same calendar layout, which is good; attached pen is good. The cover I could live with, but definitely prefer the original. Why does this new version have a removable planner, when the cover has 2013 stamped on it. It makes the planner feel less sturdy, along with the likelihood of bent covers. B&N, PLEASE BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL.

I loved the original!! It was perfect. Who messes with perfect

I loved the original!! It was perfect. Who messes with perfect?!? I've been using it for 3 years. It stays closed in my purse and no digging for a pen. With the closure, you can tuck in a business card or receipt, and it stayed put. For 2013, I have to decide pen or closure? I've been all over the internet and calendar stores, to no avail. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!!!

Bring back the original! I completely agree with the other 1 star reviewers, this is no match for the original. I too am very disappointed! Please bring back the slim, snap closure with pen version for 2013 and years to come! We want ISBN13#9780594222422. This planner is a good planner too, as punctuate planners this size offer plenty of room for entries and list holidays when most competitors lack in these areas, however, without the snap, it just won't do.

I agree with all of the other reviewers. BRING BACK THE ORIGINA

I agree with all of the other reviewers. BRING BACK THE ORIGINAL!!! I have come to rely on the slim design of the previous calendar with the snap closure and pen. I love the previous calendar, it was something both my daughter and I look forward to each year. PLEASE bring back the old design. Like the others, why mess with perfection!!!

why change what was not broken

i was very disappointed to find that the usual pocket clander with pen which i have come to rely on and has worked so well for me its design of at least 3yrs was changed. it was not changed in any positive way that i am able to determine. it is fatter making it less convient to store, find or easily have on hand. it no longer has a snap closer which serves as an extra measure to retain the pen but also to keep the pages lying flat and to not get wrinkled or torn. the fact that it is bonded leather instead of whatever manmade material it was before neither makes up for the other hanges or really adds anything to the pocket calander. i will have ascertain if it has gone back to the tried, true and liked model of past year as soon as possible so ican start the searxh next year and sadly probably elsrwhere to find one that meets my needs and likes. sadly this may not be able able to occur in a store as book stores and their assorted other tried and true accessorizes become less avaliable. what a serioud loss this to avid readers,to book lovers and to those with the potential to not only benefit from he knowledge gained through reading but who will not enjoy the opening of a brand new bookwith its smell the crack of the binder the touch of the pages and the ability to mreasure when you can take a break from reading or easily refer back to a page or piece or section. if it becomes another piece of tecnology it will one less thing yo spark a conversation with a passerby, someone your sitting near.etc. one less thing to spark a however brief positive humanconysct connection. bottom bring back what workd and what had bevefits-the old pocket calander and books and book stores!
