    Worthwhile reading

An outstanding book, great research, well written but marred by the authors Dan Rather syndrome. He could not hide his contempt for members of the Bush administration.

Excellent summary narrative of the debacle of our response to the 9/11 attacks and well documented, this is a good place to begin exploring recent American history. This is not a scholarly work in tone but one in comprehension and depth. I hope many people read it. Highly recommended.

This is a good place to begin reading about our invasion of Iraq. It is not the only work one needs but this is comprehensive in background and scope.

Being familiar with Eichenwald's previous writing and articles, I had high expectations for this book which has disappointed from the first page. Wonderfully researched and richly-detailed, it delivers a fascinating narrative covering roughly a year and half following the 9/11 attacks. A must read for anyone fascinated with global politics, history, warfare.

    Great read

Fast paced and as enjoyable as reading about the greatest national tragedy of our time could possibly be.

    EXCELLENT

Great read. Takes an unbelievable amount of issues we faced in the first 500 days after 9/11 and makes them come alive on the pages. Incredible read.
