Canonical Steel String Guitar Album
It is rare that such an album comes along. Each track competes against the others for the best song on the album. Yet there can be no winner. Or loser. This is a phenomenal display of talent that reaches across many genres of guitar music to ultimately dazzle even the most accomplished of guitarists. Some tracks, like Vaseline Machine Gun, are 12 string powerhouses while others such as Crow River Waltz offer a slower and more melodic tone. This album is an incredible feat considering Kottke recorded it in 3.5 hours in a warehouse.
