I am a fan of Ellie Kay's Books and this one was no exception! This books covered all the big topics from travel, retirement, how to approach debt and home businesses. Ellie Gives practical easy to follow advice and makes it fun too!
The book is set up so each chapter is set up with a different money 'issue' and each chapter is a 60 minute workout to get that problem fixed. She even covers kids allowance!
Budgeting is hard, No Lie. but Ellie Kay walks you through the hard parts and breaks it down to make it easier to get a hold on your money. I recommend this one!
I was provided with a complimentary copy of this book by Waterbrook Multnomah. All of the opinions expressed in this post are my own and I was not compensated for this review in any other way. For more info visit The Frugal Navy Wife

Ellie Kay gives you a plan that in 60 minutes a day you can bring your family back into financial health. She guides the reader through a well thought out plan to reign in spending, get out of dept and save for the future. Each 60 minute work out has tips to use during the workout. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
This is meant to be a workbook not just a book to read. This requires active participation from the reader as that is the only way to become financially healthy, active participation in planning, setting financial goals, looking at reasons we spend money and the whys we spend money on the things we do. It is a good resource for couples to get on the same page financially speaking.

Ellie Kay's Money Wisom-Nothing New
Ellie Kay is a pretty smart woman and does know how to handle money and help others do the same. The 60 Minute Money Workout was picked because I wanted to get some tips and see what advice she has to offer. Her "money workouts" seem clever and set up different aspects to handling money. "Cardio Burn" is usually the part where you, as the reader, must come up with ideas or write something down accordingly to what she is writing about. Kay has some good pointers, but I honestly was disappointed with what I read. I wanted to read something new and this book is not something new. I personally did not like the formatting of the book with the "cardio burn" and "take your heart rate" titles, but that is just one opinion and not what I rated the book on. Overall Kay is a smart lady, and I don't think this book does her justice. ¿I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review¿.Was this review helpful? Thanks to WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing I was given the opportunity to read The 60-Minute Money Workout by Ellie Kay. Initially, I was excited to receive this book. I love to read and absorb as much information about finances as I can and I thought I would be able to maybe learn something new. The book is broke into 9 different chapters and you are "suppose" to read one chapter a week and spend an hour implementing it into your life. However, I have the attention span of a goldfish. 9 weeks is about 8 week to long for me. As for new information. I didn't learn anything newer than I already knew. Some of the sections didn't even apply to me (Vacation? whats that??). If you want to learn more about finances I suggest a different book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
