The book 9/11: The World Speaks, by Rudolph Giuliani and Tom Bro

The book 9/11: The World Speaks, by Rudolph Giuliani and Tom Brokaw, is a tribute to the World Trade Center attacks. In the early morning of September 11, 2001, terrorists took over four airplanes. Two of those airplanes were redirected to New York City and flown into the Twin Towers, or World Trade Center. About five years later, a visitor center was opened right across the street from ground zero. Here, people wrote down reflections or recollections of this horrific day. This book has the stories, the tragedies, and the memories of people who lived through this and how the world was brought together as one. I liked this book because it has people’s memories from over 200 countries in 47 different languages. I disliked this book because it gave me emotions that I hadn’t uncovered since the day of the event. I felt an upset and mourning feeling in the pit of my stomach. My heart felt broken and torn apart. I thought about the families that had to lose their loved ones after every single page that I turned. Someone should read this book because they will learn that in a time of fear, everyone comes together and helps one another get through the hard times. We should never have to go through this terrifying experience ever again as a country. My overall rating is five out of five stars.
