I HATE THIS BOOK
I bought two t-shirt recon books. This one has the least practical designs - many are just plain sleezy. I wouldn't wear any of these designs, and my two teenaged daughters agree with me!!! All of these recons were from one t-shirt only, so all you can do is get smaller and holier from there, whereas my other book will tell you in the beginning how many and what size shirts to use. The illustrations are weak at best, not really showing how the look would fit on a real person, just a hanger or stick model. And perhaps the authors don't wear bras, but I do, so that renders many of the designs useless. Some of them were just ugly and boring. Boring designs, poor instructions (i'm an avid sewer and quilter and i was just, huh?, at a couple of them), poor illustrations = don't bother buying this book.
In all fairness, I am keeping the book for two reasons: I am too lazy to ship it back, and I liked a couple of the ideas such as ruffling an edge of a pocket that I intend to use on my own creation in the future, so for reference.
It's a shame, cuz I would have purchased all the 99 books if I'd have liked it.
I just bought the my second "Generation T" book by Megan Nicolay. It's great for people who don't know how to sew, and the pics are inspiring in the middle of the book and really brings the designs to life.
