    Still an good series!!!

I am happy that the story is still good and fresh, I thought that I would get tired of this series but I was wrong the story is still engaging. in this volume we final get to meet Maria's Ex-friend and the reason the two parted. The story gets better when you find out there is a twist that sets up the next story ark. The art work is simple but beautifully rendered and I like how they capture the characters emotions. Already order vol. 6.

    A new challenger appears!

I was starting to fear the series might start to lose steam. With Maria's realization of her feelings for Shin, and gaining a measure of respect after the dramatic choral performance, I was worried her hard edges and blunt attitude would slowly soften and the series would turn into "Everybody (Eventually) Loves Maria." But with the appearance of Maria's old friend Anna, she of the "you taint everyone around you" scene from earlier volumes, things start to get a little more interesting. Anna has lost her voice in an accident, creating a nice dichotomy with Maria. Maria is very harsh and blunt, but sometimes afraid to act, while Anna has no voice, and must sometimes rely on actions to communicate. Naturally, Anna falls for Shin too. I'm looking forward to seeing how this plays out in future volumes.

This series is diffinittly top notch. There are alot of basic materials in the world that we need and to be able to watch them unfold beautifully and brutally in this novel is wonderful
