Set in fourteenth-century Medieval England, this is the story of a young peasant boy raised by his mother and known only as "Asta's son". After the death of his mother he is left with literally nothing. He has been accused of a crime he didn't commit and declared a "wolf's head." This means he is considered an animal and may be killed by anyone. To save his own life, he flees the village with his mother's lead cross and suprising truths revealed including a name. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Crispin is a Pesant and he has only been known as Asta's son. When his mom died he was then left on his own,he had to give up his ox to pay death taxes, then later his 'master' acused him of theft and he was proclaimed a wolfs head.So then he ran away.A wolfs head can be killed at anytime by anyone. And any freeman who finds him may keep him as their slave.Thats when Crispin ran into a guy nicknamed Bear because he was so large and he was viciouse at times and nice at other times. Then later on they were on their way to Wexley's and they see John Aycliffe looking for him.So they take a different way so mabe he wont find them. And thats all I can tell you about chapters 1-20Was this review helpful?
