I had trouble reading the book because the son was such a brat.

I had trouble reading the book because the son was such a brat. He was very disrespectful to everyone and got away with it entirely too long. The story between Marcus and Skylar dragged out.

A wonderful story of love and emotions

A Hero In the Making by Kay Stockham is another heartwarming and emotional story of love and second chances.

Skylar Matthews has come home to Montana to help her young son heal after the death of his beloved dad. Skylar hopes that being around family will help her son to deal with his emotions and his ever growing fantasy world. Yet who do they first run into but Marcus Whitefeather, the man that broke her heart years ago.

Marcus Whitefeather has turned his life completely around since he ordered Skylar out of his life. Before his accident he had the world by its tail, his life was set with a pro football career just taken off. But when his world fell apart he didn’t want to bring Skylar into his growing despair.

Once Marcus sees Skylar again her realizes what he let slip from his fingers. He needs to be the man Skylar needs and to be the father Cody needs now more then ever.

Can these two former lovers let the past go to have a chance of a glorious future?

A Hero In the Making is another exceptional book in Kay’s North Star Montana series. I greatly enjoy her books, the emotional tug and the sizzling chemistry set her books above the norm. This series with its past ties to previous stories was an added plus from a favorite author. Looking forward to reading more books by this talented author.
