    Fantastic!

I didn't really like Little Women, which made me wary to read A Long Fatal Love Chase. But this book is so different and I enjoyed it so much. It has clingy boyfriends (although Tempest is not quite a boyfriend), a likeable heroine and danger, obsession and romance all in one story.

The best novel from the 1800's

When I first saw the cover, I was intrigued, more so when I discovered who the author was. Since I love LITTLE WOMEN, I knew that I had to give this book a try. I'm exceptionally glad that I did! This is one of my favorite books. I've read it twice so far - both in the same week. Its got everything to make an amazing read. I was a little surprised that it was written 'way back when', for normally books from that time period are a little more...shall I call them tame? This book is anything but tame.

    Creepy

After Little Women, Little Men, and Jo's Boys (all great books, by the way) this title surprised me. If you like the Phantom of the Opera sorts of romances, this is for you! Creepy, gothic, dark many different words can describe this amazing novel. I read it in just a day - it makes the reader uncapable of setting the book down. The writing isn't very descriptive at times, but still enchanting.

    Great

I read this book a year or two ago when I checked it out from my local library and I stayed up till 5 in the morning because i could not put this book down it was funny. imaginative. thrilling. romantic. I kind of hoped though that the priest and Rosamund would get together they would have been so cute.

    Brilliant!

A Long Fatal Love Chase awakens the senses! This is an intriguing story in which the young Rosamond Vivian falls for the older and handsome Phillip Tempest, finding him to be a dangerous man. Phillip Tempest's name suits him well as he entangles his dear Rose into a tempest brimming with adventure, deceit, and obsessional love. The reader takes part in Rosamond's fleeing from Phillip, only to learn that there is no escape. I recommend this book to those who yearn for the thrill of adventure and an undying love; and particularly to those 'Wild Roses' who have yet to find a gardener to tame them.

    Okay Book

I just finished reading this book. The book was written well. It wasn't one of my favorite books to read but it wasn't a bad book. It felt like a long reading book. It didn't turn out as I expected (I thought in the beginning that Roseamond would wind up with Temptest again).

    A MUST READ!!

This book is one of my all time favorites. it has everything a girl could want- mystery, romance, adventure. The Heroine is a marvelous narrator who is somewhat nieve but you grow to love her. I have read this book over and over and it is amazing. If you love a book that has a little bit of everything definitely read it. The plot is about a young girl who is all alone on an island with her somewhat mean grandfather. A friend of his, an older dashing man comes and sweeps the young girl off her feet and they marry. After a few years of happiness, the woman finds out that her husband did something horrible in his past and he is not the man he seems to be. Soon she is on the run and her husband becomes obsessed with finding her amd making her his again. You must read this book!! It would also be great if they made it into a movie. You will not be bored I promise!!
