This is a wonderfully written book. No mis-spellings, tense inconsistencies, or other glaring grammatical errors to upset a fantastic story. While there are dramatic moments, they are not cringe worthy but instead in line with other period-type romances. Micheal and Wes are intriguing characters, each with their own flaws and story arch within the over-reaching plot of get-them-together. Cullinan has done her research and it shows, from the period slang to proper dress every detail is in place. (Spolier) one of the characters suffers an opium addiction and it is realistically presented in a serious manner: the consequences, the symptoms, the usage, and downward spiral that often follow are not brush over or romanticized but instead dealt with .

I would reccomend this book to anyone who loves historical romance, or is just looking for a good book.

    Really great romance

It got a bit overly dramatic and a bit rushed at the end...but as a whole one of the better m/m romances I've read.
