If you like sheikh books, this is an absolute GEM!

But Fareed isn't only a sheikh, he's a surgeon, and he's absolutely gorgeous, inside and out. And he's so wonderful to Gwen and to her baby, I had a lump in my throat all the time. When he thinks he can't love Gwen, I was heartbroken at his devastation. Gwen is also a great character, but this is certainly one book that you read to savor the hero, and live vicariously and blissfully through the heroine. A keeper, and a re-read for me already!

A Sheikh and a Surgeon. Oh my!

I loved this book from start to finish. It's not every day you find a romance starring an dropdead gorgeous alpha male who's also sensitive, loving, level-headed and talented, in surgery...and in bed. What a man Fareed was. And what a lucky woman Gwen was, and how tormented by the need to keep her secrets. This was one poignant, passionate and powerful romance. Baby Ryan was also not one of those props in secret baby stories. He was necessary, involved in the story development every step of the way, without giving it a too 'family' feel and cooling down the romance. That remained sizzling hot. But it was very moving seeing Fareed's reaction to him, and the way his love for him developed. Baby Ryan's reaction felt so real, too!
And I thought I knew what the twist was. But just when I thought everything was out in the open, bringing about the black moment, it kept getting blacker and more heart-wrenching, THEN the real twist came out of nowhere. I really didn't see it coming, which is saying a lot for me. Very highly recommended.

Nobody Loves Like a Mother Generally the first hint of a secret

    Nobody Loves Like a Mother

Generally the first hint of a secret baby plot and I'm outta there. Hackneyed and WAY overdone. Yet, Gates manages to make it plausible, to make a crazy-hot romance between philanthropist neurosurgeon sheikh Fareed and his younger brother's almost-widow WORK.

The scenes involving the baby and his medical problems - which have forced Gwen to seek Fareed's help - are both tender and realistical. I totally "bought" Gwen as a fiercely determined mother, and Fareed as a skilled and attentive doctor.

Still, the passion between Gwen and Fareed is the first and foremost issue throughout, the sexual tension and sex scenes really sizzle. Wonderful unexpected twist at the end. Intriguing secondary romance. This book has so much goodness packed into so few pages, yummy!

    Truth be told

Fareed Aal Zaafer is not just another out of this world handsome man; he is an Arabian Prince and a world famous surgeon with his own state of the art medical clinic. Fareed is also on an impossible personal mission to fulfill a deathbed promise. Flooded by imposters in response to his desperate pleas has left Fareed no choice but to give up and return to his homeland, until one last request for an audience changes everything. Gwen McNeal is the one person who has held Fareed’s heart captive and standing before him now all he can think of is how he is going to make her his! Gwen carries a dark secret of her own. Desperate measures have left Gwen with no choice but to appeal to Fareed and his expertise, how can she get what she needs and also keep the truth from surfacing? Olivia Gates delivers an explosively charged romance rigged with as many twists and turns, as there are pages. I guarantee you will not be able to put this one down.
