Nice browser/map viewer (has a secret bonus ability as well)

As a browser and map viewer it is pretty good. It does have a few idiocyncracies that take a little getting used to but the learning curve isn't steep. e.g. it seems that you must type the http: // part of a url or it won't load the page.

It does have a "secret" ability to load local files (without wifi) from the sd card or main nook internal flash if you know the full path and use file: ///

This is nice for viewing full sized maps and aerial photos when hooked up to wifi, but lacks the most important function enabling the app to be useful for traveling when not hooked up to wifi. The app needs to be able to save maps for later use when not hooked up to wifi. Otherwise the app is useless for using in a car. I was hoping to make maps using wifi prior to my departure and then pull up in car when not hooked up to wifi. Saved maps can unfortuantly only be pulled up if wifi is available in area. Most other apps let one save to nook from wifi for use later when not hooked up to wifi. This app will also not create best travel routes like map quest. You have to do this via google or map quest. This alternative way would be fine if you can save as well, but cant. 3 stars for the above lacking items. If it had the above, 5 stars hand down. I hope the developers incorporate the above in a future update.

    Pretty good app

This is just about the only app that i could find that let me look at maps!!!!!! Omg!!!! I really wish there were more map apps to choose from, even though i like this app. I do have a few complaints; first, i would like to say, that i like that it has a built-in web-browser. I do not, however, like the design of the web browser. It really takes out a lot of the basic utilities that (literally) EVERY OTHER WEB-BROWSER HAS!!!!!! For example, the back button. It is Lmost non-existant.
My second complaint; i do wish that the entire app, from the web-browser, to the maps, was the exact same as google earth. That would be a lot better.
