Feel empty inside, lost, unfulfilled? Going through the motions?

Feel empty inside, lost, unfulfilled? Going through the motions? Wondering when the happiness is going to begin?

When I finally reached a place in my life where I had to look deeper than I had been willing to in the past, I was graced with getting this book.

This is a life changing book. While there are other books on the subject of alcoholism and family dysfunction, none give you the breadth and depth of the ACA (ACoA is acceptable usage) Fellowship text.

The ACA Fellowship Text is filled with personal accounts by folks who have used the deepen and broader 12 Steps to finally emerge from under the weight of the emotional hangovers of their childhoods.

I suggest that the reader start the ACA Fellowship Text with Chapter 8 - The Solution: Becoming Your Own Loving Parent. Take it slow and, if it becomes too much, just set it down. After a few moments, pick it up again, but be gentle. Once you know there IS a solution, then you can start reading the book from cover to cover to see what the problem was and is.

The reader is invited to reparent themselves with gentleness, humor, love and respect.
Here you will gently learn about your inner critical parent and discover your inner loving parent.

If you do the work, and there's plenty of work here, you will gradually experience a spiritual awakening and reunite with your true self -- your inner child.

You will be able to understand effects of alcoholism or family dysfunction: e.g., all or nothing thinking, perfectionism, controlling and judgmentalness, internal (endogenous) addiction, basic (ontological) security, integration, hypervigilance, PTSD, among others .

This book is not about finding fault, a blame game or staying stuck.

It is about moving forward and finding inner peace.

The truth will set you free, but first it is going to p*** you off. Then the happiness happens.

    ***** OMG!!! *****

This is the most impactful book I have ever read. I have always been confused about so many things in my life, but this book cuts right to the chase and not only lets me know why I am the way I am, but it also tells me how to fix my dysfunctions. I am so grateful I found this book. It is not just for the alcoholic or child of an alcoholic. If you are dysfunctional or come from a messed-up family, you should read this book. It will change your life if you are willing. I am selecting "anonymous" only because I'm a recovering alcoholic and don't want to out myself. AA has given me maintenance to live my life, but ACA has shown me how to live a truly healthy life.
