All right, you got me at Jeff - SPOILERS

Yep, I missed Jeff on those last two pages. That is corrected with the latest draft I uploaded to Smashwords (which should arrive at B&N by the end of the month). As readers may guess, Lee was originally named Jeff.

Yep, I missed Jeff on those last two pages. That is corrected with the latest draft I uploaded to Smashwords (which should arrive at B&N by the end of the month). As readers may guess, Lee was originally named Jeff.

Abandoned happens to be one of my favorite short stories. Devon is recycled from the story Bloody Tannenbaum - in which readers, who more familiar with my storytelling scheme, hopefully recognize. That's why he's talking about demonic trees. More about that is in my short story Carnivorous Blight.

SPOILERS - For readers looking to "see" something in the haunted house, I'm sorry you are disappointed. The COLD is the monster, it's there all along. I should have called the story "The Living Cold," but that's not as catchy as Abandoned.

Don't bother

Very short story, not very well written, feels more like a poem than a story.

    Not that good

Lee and Devon turns into Jeff and devon at the end. EDITORS MISTAKE. There is some cussing like damn at the end of the story and the book has a good plot but needs to fix the mistakes
