Great introduction to an extremely important historical figure
My son chose this book on his own this February as a treat while we were shopping for a baby gift. His first grade teacher had read it in school and he was so into the topic that he wanted to own it himself. I think that it is a moderately challenging read alone for a first grader over half way through the school year, but he loved it.

I Tip my Hat to 'Abe Lincoln's Hat'
'Abe Lincoln's Hat' is a great introduction of one of our finest presidents to young children. There are many quaint facts about Lincoln that many history buffs probably don't know: he kept important papers stuffed inside his hat, he loved practical jokes, and Stephen Douglas held his beloved hat as a sign of respect after Lincoln won the Presidental election. A great read during the month of February!
