This Book May Be Over Some People's Heads
My husband read this book and loved it. But he is an ordained minister with a doctorate in ministry. It appears you have to have really studied theology and the Bible in order to appreciate this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Boredom: A Journey to the Heart of Three Naps...or not?
When first assigned to read this book my friends and I joked about it and teased it for its melodrama. We nicknamed it 'Boredom: A Journey to the Heart of Three Naps'. But as the end of the summer was comming and I didn't want to fail the class I decided to stop skimming the book and actually read it. Okay, so maybe sometimes he's a little overly melodramatic. Maybe he makes some points over and over and (believe me) over agian. But, Mr. Feiler actually has an intresting idea here. He studies three religons by going to what he believes to be the heart of the matter, not faith, but origins. And he gives us a man of many faces: Abraham. I am no biblical scholar, but I was wrong, it's not boring it's intriguing. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
