Absolutely Normal Chaos, by Sharon Creech is a great book for girls who enjoy realistic fiction. The book is written in journal form, because throughout the story, you are reading Mary Lou Finney's summer journal. She starts out thinking that her summer won't be very exiting, but when her cousin Carl Ray comes in to town, things change. What adventures will Mary Lou and Carl Ray have together? read Absolutely Normal Chaos, by Sharon Creech.

Not as Good as I'd Hoped

When I started this book, I thought it was going to be really good. And it was, at first, but then it got kind of boring, and the main character kept going on and on about her bloody boyfriend, and it was kind of stupid.

I take that back. It was really stupid.

And I also thought she said "God" too much, which really bothered me (gosh would have been better), and it mentioned sex a couple times, which I thought was a little unneccessary.

The only reason I actually gave this book any stars was because of the Finney family, whom I absolutely loved. That was pretty much the only good thing. Oh, and the ending with Carl Ray and Mr. Furtz and everything. But I also thought that the part with the car wreck was a little fast and not detailed enough.

    get your info here

this book was okay but i've read better. i think it needs more romance. i liked it all the way up to july 4 but after that it started making no sense at all. i read this book because we had to pick a book to read for a book report and i just grabed it from the shelf thinking it would be a great book from looking at the cover but now i know not to do that. now i know to read the back of the book to see if i might be interested. i asked my mom if she would read this and she said yes. so she read it and she said she loved it. and rates it a 5-outstanding. i guess its more of an adult book not a kids book but that's my oppinion not anyone elses.

Needs a few more plot lines and a bit more romance

I really liked Absolutely Normal Chaos, but it lacked complicated plot lines and it also needs more romance.
