Master Class in Art Instruction
As a self-taught artist and photographer, with little formal training, I will sometimes find myself wanting a bit of support in theory and technique. Books like this one appeal to me in my search for solid, practical, personal textbooks. The author addresses subjects from Aerial and Atmospheric Forms, to Color Resonance and Harmony, and a multitude of other issues for rendering and appreciating the natural world, without resorting to rote copying of natural forms. There are many useful illustrations and photographs, and the book is well structured for student or professional levels. I found it useful for my own work in photography as well as in landscape sketching and more technical graphic arts. A general reader might find it overwhelming, technical, and possibly dry.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
