    Timely and Important

I bought this book because of favorable reviews on NPR and in the Chronicle; I'm not disappointed. The research is based on a limited sample of colleges and universities and a limited outcome measure about which the authors are refreshingly mindful. Analyses and interpretations don't stray far from the data whereas astute speculations are duly noted as such. Issues concerning educational demands, educational environments, and students' preparation for and engagement of learning opportunities are discussed at length with supporting evidence amply provided in text, tables, and figures. It's more than a critical review of higher education, the authors offer constructive solutions worthy of consideration. This book is a must read for administrators, faculty, serious students, and anyone concerned about the status of higher education. It's a data intensive read that's difficult to put down.

    A truly valuable read

Though this book comes as one in which only academics would find interest, it is much more. There has been much controversy on the studies' results on which this book is written. However, as a higher education professor I can confirm that I see the reality of what the authors portray as the academic health of our society. This is an excellent read and one that provokes much thinking. It was not only worth the small price, it was worth my time to read. Because of the controversial reactions the studies brought about, the authors are in the midst of writing a follow up, of which I will certainly purchase.

List of cats... they are evil except for one...

Toxin, Silvermoonstar, Espio, Swift, Blade, Silencer, River, and Titan. All are in the GOA at 'violet fangs', result three. Last is Flamepelt; he is River's mate and is good. He was a part of the old FireClan.

    To Aurum

"I need a cat dead. Name is swift. She cat. Mate of espio. Swift was......flirting so i asked if she wanted to be mates. Then she sent her mate and four assasins to kill me. They destroyed my clan and my reputation and future. I now have nothing thanks to her. Either at flower or snake clan."
