Bought it this morning & just finished it. Love the book, love the series & anxiously awaiting Pierce's story. I love the humor mixed with action, romance and drama. Ms. Brooks always ties in each new family unit with updates so their stories continue to evolve as well. Except Ahmad.... man, I can't wait for that book! Hope his story is after Cy's, which by the way we get another glimpse into Cy's very illusive life where only Miles has a clue. If you're just now starting the Bluegrass series, you can start here but you would be doing yourself a tremendous injustice if you don't backtrack & read the entire series to understand some of the sarcasm & humor.

I do not understand the high reader ratings for this series. This is the second one I have read, and perhaps one needs to read all of the books in order to "get hooked" on the town and the plethora of characters that come and go. The main characters and plot in this book are excellent. However, the beginning was slow, the middle seemed more like the end, and the end more like the middle.

    Highly Recommended

This is a great read! Kathleen Brooks has literally made me fall in love with every character. From the Rose Triplets, to the Davies family. All of Keeneston is beautiful and home. The characters are real in a sense that, they make mistakes, misjudge, GOSSIP, drink, cheat and at the end of the day they are your family. They have a sense of family, that makes your heart warm, your soul soar and brings tears to your eyes, because you just cant imagine anything happening to any of them. I want to go to Keeneston and meet these fictional characters! I recommend anyone who picks up a Kathleen Brooks book, make sure you start from the beginning and find yourself a corner, a cup of the Rose Sisters special "Sweet Tea" and fall in love with Kathleen Brooks novels. I read Acquiring Trouble in 3 hours and i have re-read it 3 times. I have a strong imagination, but i just dissappear and become another character in her book. You wont regret reading anything this writer has available!
