    Wonderfully Classic Cookbook

Add Another Place Setting is chock full of wonderful recipes. There are plenty that are sure to please even the toughest crowd. I have tried nearly every appetizer and have not yet found one that didn't receive a million compliments at a gathering. The Comfort Foods section is a must for a Southern cookbook and it doesn't disappoint! The Corn Casserole is like heaven in a baking dish! I would highly recommend this cookbook for not only the wonderful recipes, but the beautiful pictures and interesting tidbits throughout the book.

Your senses to a different level...

You need to enjoy all five senses when it comes to a dish. The minute you open this beautifully put together cookbook all your senses will be taken away to a different level. You will be able to "listen" to the sounds of the sizzle and crisping of Helen R. Walton's Christmas Quail (117) as it fries on the skillet or just hearing the freshness when snapping the green beans that you have purchased from your local Farmers Market when you prepare the Sauteed Green Beans with Corn (18). You will be able to "smell" the sweetness of the Apple Bread Pudding (29) baking while you cook up the velvety Vanilla Sauce (29) to pair with it. You will be able to "see" how gorgeous of a presentation the succulent Plum Chicken with Couscous (116) will dress up your table at any social gathering that will leave your guests' mouths watering. You will be able to "feel" the creaminess of the fragrant Thyme-Scented Savory Sweet Potato Souffle (147) melt in your mouth as you enjoy every last bite. Last but not least, the best sense of all...your "taste". Every single recipe in this cookbook will satisfy every "taste" that you could ever imagine. "Add Another Place Setting" is one cookbook that you must have in your collection. It will always liven up your senses over and over again!

    more from this reviewer

Hate to cook, but I LOVE this cookbook!!!

I am NOT a cook, but somehow I find myself pulling out "Add Another Place Setting" for everything from last minute dinners to family gatherings! I can't pick a favorite recipe, but my favorite section of the book is "Comfort Foods." It makes a wonderful gift too! I've recently given it to 3 friends and I hear from them frequently reporting their "new" favorite recipe!

    You'll really use this cookbook!

Junior Leagues are somewhat known for their wonderful cookbooks, and the Junior League of NW Arkansas' "Add Another Place Setting" is no exception! It's filled with yummy recipes that are easy to understand and use ingredients you've actually heard of. The color photos are beautiful & the snipits really give you a feel for the NWA region. I would highly recommend this cookbook!

For someone who collects Junior League Cookbooks, this one takes the cake. It's easy and real recipes are wonderful! The entertaining suggestions and Northwest Arkansas history make is educational and entertaining. I've given this cookbook as gifts 10+ times since it's printing. Those gifts have prompted purchases of the cookbook from others! Great gift for Mom and Wife for Mother's Day!

    This cookbook's got it all!

I would highly recommend this beautiful cookbook to anyone. It's full of great recipes that can be made with common ingredients and also includes recipes from NW Ark notables such as the Waltons, Tysons, Georges, etc. Truly a wonderful book rich with history, hospitality, and local flavor for those in NW Ark and all over the country alike!
