This book is a great find! Although it explains in depth the authors personal struggles with her "Gambling" addiction, it could equally apply to anyone else who has an addiction that is taking over their life. The book flows naturally as though she is sitting in a coffee shop telling you herself. Written from her own perspective she as an uncanny way of taking the reader along her life journey with her. You can't help but understand and sympathise with the authors struggle with (in her case gambling) addiction. Either way, a MUSTread for anyone who is or knows someone who is struggling with an addiction in their own life.

If anyone you know has a gambling problem, or any addiction, this book is a Must Read. I had no Clue how dangerous this could be for some of the population who may have compulsive behaviors. Her story shows the Slow Slide, and progression, this addiction can have on a person. Great Read!

Hemingway is right: “There is nothing to writing. All you do is sit down at a typewriter and bleed.”
And bleed she does. Catherine Townsend-Lyon writes her story honestly and boldly.
Her purpose is to share her story so others may benefit.  Her story resonates with the reader even if the
reader doesn’t have an addiction problem. Because of my reading Addiction to Dimes, I am contacting
my daughter who chooses not to have family contact. I want her to know that she is loved.
Catherine’s story validates the importance of love and acceptance that we all need.  Sharon L. Hicks

I was so impressed by Catherine's story and how she was extremely open and candid about everything she went through regarding her addiction to compulsive gambling. I found her book to be brutally honest, and could not help but root for her to come out of her past troubles a better person. The fact that she is able to help others in a similar situation is a true testament to her will to live and thrive. I definitely recomment this book to anyone who is an addict, or in the mood to read an authentic feel good story!
