Great Book!

This was a great book that proves age doesnt matter... just make sure you read Hawkens Heart first so you get to know the admirals dead wife!

Danger, Love and Excitement Await You. Dig-In!!!!

If you like reading a book where the man is strong but inside unsure because of a past love and the cold world he's come to know, you'll love Jake. He's a man who loves deeply and will only give his heart a second time when he knows it will be accepted and cherished as he plans to do.

There is action, suspense and a touch of gentle sweetness you wouldn't expect to find in a military - do or die novel.

Trust me, you'll fall in Love with Jake and read his story time and time again.

    It's one of my favorites.

    Intense drama

I really liked this one. Though the age difference between Jake and Zoe is disturbing on the outside (24 years, yikes!) it was dealt with in a believeable way, I thought. Jake's problems/issues with being able to move on without Daisy were also portrayed very realistically and well. Loved the theme of infiltrating a compound of crazies--reminded me of my favorite 80s television show. :-) Can't wait to read more in the series!

Enjoyable but not the best in the series

Suz Brockmann is the queen of hot stories! This book started out great, but fizzled. SEALs doubting their team leader's abilities didn't help. I liked the earlier books in this series and enjoyed getting to know the Admiral better in this book.

    Jennifer Wardrip - Personal Read

Admiral Jake Robinson has always been the SEAL who lived by the motto of "leave no man behind." As far back as the Vietnam War, there have been "Jake's Boys" -- soldiers rescued because of the personal efforts of Jake Robinson. Now, he's been assigned to infiltrate a religious cult and recover six canisters of a devastatingly lethal nerve gas.

His partner undercover is Dr. Zoe Lange, who just so happens to be the daughter of one of "Jake's Boys" from back in Vietnam. She's also a lot younger than the Admiral. This doesn't stop them from going undercover as husband and wife -- or from experiencing the very real feelings of passion and desire.

But Jake is still mourning the passing of his wife, and Zoe isn't sure that the age difference (or this assignment) is something that can be overcome. Will these two be able to survive their undercover job -- and find a real love worth fighting for?

This is truly another great read in Ms. Brockmann's SEAL series!

    Such a great story!!

I have read nearly all of Brockmann's books and this one did not disappoint me. Jake and Zoe are drawn to each other from the very beginning but Jake hasn't let go of his deceased wife. Zoe helps him overcome his loss as they fall in love trying to locate stolen explosives as fake husband and wife. This book is suspensful and very HOT!! Read it and get ready to fall in love with Jake!
