Google 'gutenburg free ebooks'. This book of stories is great and no longer under copyright law so it's ( along with a lot if other classics) actually free to download instantly thru your nook or pc to nook via the mentioned website.

I have been looking for a book of Aesop's Fables for my 9yo that has pictures to make it more fun and thought i had come across it with this,so i got the sample to make sure.I was dissapointed again by B&N.I don't understand what is the point of giving you a sample of the book if the sample doesn't give you a real idea of what the book is like.This sample gives you the table of contents and that is all.I could get this book for free since it is in the public domain but that is not child friendly.I have looked at all the Aesop's Fable books available from B&N and all have the same problem.I think they could do a better job with the sample because it is the sample that convinces people to buy the book,or not in my case.Maybe Amazon can do a better job.Show Less

Love+the+book%2C+hate+the+occasional+typo
I+really+enjoy+%22The+Hobbit%2C%22+I+would+give+the+story+five+stars.The+typos+in+this+version++of+the+book+can+be+annoying+though.+I+am+a+quarter+of+the+way+through+the+book+and+have+had+to+reread+some+sentences+to+try+to+figure+out+what+an+incorrect+word+should+be+%28such+as+%22be%22+instead+of+%22he%29.+Unfortunately+this+seems+to+be+a+problem+with+many+ebooks+though.

One for all
My childhood memories are few and far betwen but I specifically remember Aesop's Fables. A wonderful tale ever child should have a chance to read at an early age.

Love him he is a wonderful writer my youngest child in middle school is learning about him so i wanted to read her/him his fables yaayaaaayayyyayay they are so happy with the fable they love them i would recomend them to middle schoolers to learn!!!!!!!!!! :) :)

The Thief and His Mother
Every story in this book has a moral. 'Spare the Rod and Spoil the Child.' It means instead of hitting the child let them get in trouble and realize what they did wrong. Also i thought it would have a good impact on children and parents.
