A not-so-Brill-iant book After-all,,,,
I would summerize it thus far,,, A stale feel-good novel about tyranny by a stale hack novelist . Hollywood and LA movie exec 's should pay attention to this disaster genre script of Brill's and cash in on the carcass of 9-11 . It would look so tasteful on the big screen ; but , it does not pan out in the intellectual de- partment . sorry,,Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. If You Really Want To Understand...
Brill's After is a wonderfully descriptive narrative detailing the non-military events following 9/11. After tells several stories in parallel including the clean up of ground zero, the creation of the Homeland Security dept., the issues faced by the Red Cross, the challenges faced by Justice, details on all of the victim's funds, and how a small American-dream shoe repair shop coped with a drastic decline in business. It is essential reading for anyone who wants to fill in the blanks left by the varying completeness of the standard media coverage. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
