    A Very Short Story

The book consists of a mere 13 pages. Within that time one gets a real feel for the characters. Very well written with an unexpected ending.

    Very brief

Very brief story of a daughter who feared her father's wrath but was pleasantly surprised instead.

    Boring

This is a very unoriginal story. Very flat characters and almost no real plot development. The ending makes the whole story seem pointless and is very abrupt. My thoughts when i finished reading - well that was dumb.

    Feels like an excerpt

Though fairly well written (I did see a couple typos), this was an odd short story. Too much time was spent developing secondary characters and the “unexpected" ending didn't feel like a twist so much as an unsatisfying payoff.

It felt like the part of a chapter of a book.

    Too short

The title makes it sound very dramatic, but it only seems like the introduction to a novel.

This was a great short story

"After the Dance" was a great coming of age story from the last century.
