A Great Book by Meg Cabot

I'd found this book at my school library. As a twelve year old, this book was really age appropriate for teens and young adults. While reading, I came across many pop culture mentions. Meg Cabot is quite exceptional at description of the setting, and the personalities of the characters. This book is BEYOND hilarious. Emerson-Nikki is very intriguing. I highly recommend this book!

Good Read from an awesome author

I've only read a select few of Meg Cabot's books. Some of them have been too long or cheesy. This book was very good though. Although a little ahead of its time medically speaking. It's about a girl, so far from the limelight that she can't even see it, becoming the big star. Except where every girl in high school would want to be in her shoes, she would rather be a nobody. The story of how fame is obtained against the will and coping with changing times. A good look at two very different sides of the high school food chain.

    Meg's Best Book Yet

She never wanted to go to the grand opening of the new Stark Megastore store. That was her sister Frida's idea. But that day changed her life. In an attempt to save her sister Frida from certain harm, Em tries to push Frida out of the way, getting crushed by a falling television screen in the process. When Em wakes up in the hospital, she has no idea what happened. She can only recall bits of what happened that day, such as a certain gorgeous British singer and songwriter, Gabriel Luna, who sneaks into the hospital to give her flowers. But that's not the only strange thing that happens. Her voice sounds funny, and soon her supposed best friend and celebutante Lulu Collins and her supposed boyfriend Brandon Stark kidnap her from the hospital and take her back to her supposed penthouse apartment. And Em has no idea why she's being whisked off by famous people that's she's only heard of from skimming her sister Frida's magazines. Until, of course, she finds out that she's stuck in supermodel Nikki Howard's body. Airhead could possibly be Meg Cabot's best novel yet. I have to admit that I have never been a completely devoted fan of Meg Cabot's works (with the exception of Avalon High), but Airhead was quick to become one of my favorites. Cabot proves herself to be a versatile and extremely ingenious writer. I do not understand where these crazy ideas come from, but I'm glad they do, because Airhead was simply an amazing book. I don't want to give away anything too crucial to the plot, so I'll only say that Meg Cabot does an amazing job of combining the modeling world with that of advanced science. It is very amusing to watch Em's character as she navigates in and adjusts to her new life. Em is laugh-out-loud funny, and at the same time, she comes off as very intelligent. I really cannot find any faults with this novel. It has both hilarious and meaningful moments, and I thoroughly enjoyed reading this novel. I recommend this novel first to all Meg Cabot fans you will not be disappointed! And even if you don't usually like Meg Cabot's other novels, you'll be sure to enjoy Airhead, because it is an incredible read that left me wanting more. I highly suggest you run out immediately to buy this book before it gets sold out, and I know I certainly can't wait for the continuation of this awesome series.

    Airhead

I love this book. I really thought it was going to be something like the usual but this one was really creative and well thought out of the box for me.

This book is okay. It's not the best book but it's entertaining and filled with drama. It's a good book for teenage girls who like books about drama, and that they can relate to. It's easily relatable for me as a teenage girl. It's a very humourous and good book.

I can't lie; this had to be the oddest book that I have read by one of my favorite authors!

Emerson Watts is a pretty typical nerdy girl at a good school. She has one best friend, who she is secretly in love with (It is a guy, by the way.) But she is only typical until she goes to a store opening with her sister and gets injured in a very freak accident.

When she wakes up after about a month of being unconscious, she feels like she is someone else.

    And she actually is.

This is not a paranormal book. She gets a brain transplant.

At the end of the book I literally said, "Get me the next book! NOW!" The ending is a total cliffhanger!

The characters are smart, witty, and a little weird, as with typical Meg Cabot books. A fun read, even though the beginning is a little hard to understand, and can be difficult to get into. However, it is definitely worth reading the whole thing, because it is truly hilarious!

    Awesome! 8D

This book is not your average book. See Em Watts has switched bodies with supermodel NIkki Howard. And is learning to adjust, slowly, BUT gradually. This book is the boom!(haha)And all the guys in the book are like drool worthy, especially Christopher. This book was amazing as was the rest of the series. I recomened it to all. Although i did picture NIkki different then what the cover shows. Read this book i promise you won't regret it!

    WOW!

If I'm being completely honest, which I am, I would say that I really did not expect to like this book that much. I mean, it's Meg Cabot so I knew it would be funny but the description of the book did sound a little strange. And I wasn't really sure that someone, even Meg Cabot, could pull off making a brain transplant, or full body transplant, seem plausible.
Which proves that I seriously underestimated Meg Cabot because I not only liked and found the book believable, but I LOVED it! I'm not exactly the kind of girl that reads model books, or even girly books really, I have a few that I've liked, but usually I steer towards the tougher characters, the tomboy girls and such, which was something I really liked about the book actually. It was a balance. Em Watts was a serious tomboy, exactly my sort of character, but Nikki Howard? One word people; supermodel. So the contrast of Em;s brain in Nikki's body created a lot of humor.
I love that about Meg Cabot's books, I;ve never read one and not laughed my head off. Seriously, i'm surprised it's still there. (Just kidding (; I have my head :P )
I love the realisticness of her characters. how they're so easy to relate to, I've never been of the frame of mind that modeling could be overly hard either (I mean I totally respect the girls and guys that do it, I've never believed I could either) but I don't know, I never thought of it as challenging either. I love how Meg Cabot takes things like that and shows us what they're like, I don't know if she's done these things herself (she is really pretty) or if she just has an awesome imagination but what she says makes sense and how the character feels about it is totally believable, making me go "Hey, yeah I think I would feel that way too..."
And her guys! LEt's not forget her guys! Whose with me that Meg Cabot's guys are awesome? I'm in love with Christopher! I've already downloaded the last two books in the series on my nook and will probably fly through them because I don't think I can deal with not knowing if and how Em can let Christopher know that it's still her!
And my goodness, the ending! Can a writer WRITE better endings that this author? Seriously, she manages to make you practically die to read the next one without scaring you half to death or stopping in the middle of some "someone's about to die" moment which is really really admirable. I especially liked that about this book, it ended on a good note but with so many underlying problems and unanswered questions, well let's just say I downloaded the other books pretty quick. :)
I would say this is an appropriate read for ages 13 or 14 and up, because of brief references (nothing bad but just things that younger readers might need parental guidance on as in referring to what some things are)
I already love The Mediator series, the 1-800-Where-R-You series, Teen Idol, and Avalon High, but now the Airhead series is so going on my list of favorite books (which a book has to fight pretty hard to do, I love a lot of books but few make my favorites list) so basically if you have not read this book, love fashion or hate it, love to laugh, cute boys, science, mystery, potential romance, and a little bit of drama this is the book for you. So basically if you're any teen girl you will love it. Your Faithful Reviewer, DayDreamingBookGirl ;)
If you like Meg Cabot try the Drake Chronicles by Alyxandra Harvey and any of Linda Palmer's teen books, they hold simil

    Defenitly a re-read!

This book, obviously more appealing to girls, is one of my favorites of Meg Cabot's. A tomboyish girl has an accident and undergoes a brain-transplant and emerges a supermodel. Now, on top of dealing with normal teen life, this girl has to cope with the demands of being in the spotlight as well. (Paparazzi, fans, tabloids and rumors) Then, she discovers a dark secret about her employer and the company she works for and has to step up as an antagonist. The series consists of 3 books: Airhead, Being Nikki, and Runaway. If you enjoy things like celebritys, fashion, science fiction, or love stories, then this book might be something you'll want to look into.
