If you like Al Bernstein the boxing commentator, then you will love Al Bernstein the author, entertainer, essayist and funny man, as he shows off all those characteristics in this book. It has recollections of his time spent at ESPN and Showtime as well as his insights into boxing (a great essay on trainers), sports broadcasting and other musings. This really can't be called an autobiography since he doesn't write too much about his personal life (short chapters on his father and his wife), but instead the book is a good insight into his broadcasting and entertainment career. 30 good chapters of fun reading. Loved this book. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
