    Alexander and the Wind-up Mouse

Leo Lionni wrote the 1970 Caldecott Honor book, 'Alexander and the Wind-Up Mouse.' Lionni wrote and illustrated a cute book. The two mice somewhat similar, but different at the same time. Alexander wanted to be like the wind-up mouse, but then realized he had the better life and wanted the other mice to have a life like his. This book would be great for kids to realize to be happy with what they have because the life they think they want doesn't always mean its going to be a better one. I love the color Lionni used in this book. Kids will definitely enjoy the story as well as the colorful pictures.
