    not the book for me

i'm sorry but as much as i loved the silver kiss and freaks alive on the inside, i didn't bother with this one. yes i started reading it but after i was done, i don't know i wasn't much into scifi or maybe i was growing up and wanted to get into other harder books. from looking at the cover i so thought of katharine isabelle from ginger snaps. anyway this is the story of a girl meets with an alien while on a journey in finding her parents and gets involved in a mystery. read it if you like if you're into science fiction.

    worst book ever

If you¿re looking for a high-tech, futuristic, alien war filled, totally awesome science-fiction¿then read something else, ¿Alien secrets¿ is possibly one of the worst science book ever written. ¿Alien Secrets¿ is a 'terrible' book where, where a twelve year old girl somehow defeats an evil alien, finds a stolen alien sacred artifact called the Soo, traps a secret agent in a closet, navigates through hyperspace, sets free dozens of ancient enslaved alien ghosts, and defeats an intergalactic thief, all in a period of days! Plus, the girl has anger management problems! I¿ve read and liked a lot of fictional books but this was just plain bad! The book ¿Alien Secrets¿ hard to follow when you¿re reading certain parts of it. One time was when Puck 'the twelve year old' Two of the spaceship¿s crew while looking for the Soo by climbing up a wall and luckily finding a secret passageway through some of the ship¿s vents. In three minutes she somehow wove her way through an intricate system of vents that just happened to lead directly too a crevice in the wall where the Soo is hidden. You can¿t even understand how she got there! Also, ¿Alien Secrets¿ is such a boring book that while reading it I was actually tempted to skip entire chapters at a time. In the very beginning, Puck somehow stumbled onto a fight for ten seconds without being seen, then just runs. After that the chapter ends and she¿s in a spaceport, at this point, I was ready to switch books. Another time when Puck is taking a tour of the spaceship, all the happens for almost five pages is they talk abut hyperspace navigation tools, talk about the hyperspace navigator¿s school, and then Puck and an alien teenager make fun of a fat mean lady behind her back. Another thing I didn¿t like about ¿Alien Secrets¿ is that up until the last ten pages or so where puck single-handedly defeats an evil, fat alien, saves the ship from blowing up, saves the ship again by navigating through hyperspace an instant before they run out of fuel, there¿s absolutely no action, and the stuff she did do wasn¿t that big of a deal because it all happened in one or two chapters! ¿Alien Secrets¿ is possibly the worst book I have ever read-aside from ¿The Little Engine that Could¿- and has convinced me never to read a book written by this author again. P.S. I would¿ve given it negative stars if I could.

    My Absolute Favorite Book

I first read this book when I was in the third grade (I'm advanced in my reading) and am still reading it now, when I have just graduated from college. Alien Secrets has been my favorite book for a long time. The description of Puck and Hush's friendship, as well as the friendship Puck develops with Owen, the 'strange' hyperspace navigater are sweet and very real. You grow to love Puck as if she were your best friend, and when she discovers she can 'see' in hyperspace, you just want to cheer right along with her. The way she accepts Hush right from the beginning is tender and sweet, and proves that Puck is not the screw up that she thinks she is. And when Hush responds to her friendship, telling her that she is not a screw up, but has, in his words, 'much kindness', you just know these two will be friends for a long time. This book is tender and sweet, but also has humor, mystery and lots of action and excitement. I'd recemend it for any one of any age.

    Alien Secrets

This is a book that I recommend for anyone that enjoys fiction. It's full of action and makes you get into the story. I read very little but noticed that this book sucked me in. The books action consistant and thrilling. I enjoyed reading this book and encourage others to do so.

Excellent Science Fiction Book, Really Drawed in my Attention!

For my 3rd book report in the fifth grade we were had to read science fiction books, which I usually have no interest in what so ever. So, I was at the book store when I saw Alien Secrets. I just kind of grabbed it thinking this will be boring and paid for it and left. But, much to my surprise in the middle of the book I began to like it, then I couldn't put it down. I was amazed that I was actually enjoying a book that wasn't realistic fiction, autobiography, or historical fiction. I would just like to thank Annette Curtis Klause for writing this tremendous book which has encouraged me to read new styles of writing. I would reccomend this book to anyone. An always reading girl, Allie age 11
