Great Advice For Kids
I bought this for my 6-year-old grandson who just started Little League this year. He's also seen Curtis on TV in a Yankee game. The drawings are excellent and easy for little kids to relate to, and the writing is geared to a young age without talking down to them. Curtis puts his advice in the context of his own life, so it's more understandable to those without a great deal of life experience. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Inspirational read for kids and adults
Granderson tells his down to earth story of his childhood and how he became a NY Yankee. His message is clear....be positive and keep trying no matter what. His family paid a huge factor in his success. I enjoyed how young students in New York had a competition and illustrated the saga. I have read this book to all ages at the school I volunteer in and my grandchildren all have copies. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Good read for youngsters playing sports of all kinds!
I bought this for my 9-year-old and 8-year-old grandsons who play baseball. I saw Curtis on TV and ordered it right away for Christmas! There are some really good lessons for them ... 9 in all! I loved the way Curtis spoke to young readers, and I enjoyed the pictures from the kids in NYC. Good job! ... Mom Mom DWas this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
