    Enya : A True 21st Century Genius

On her earlier disc Enya was hoping for a "A Day Without Rain" -- on "Amarantine", Enya has enveloped herself in a water theme. From the beautiful pop yearnings of "It's In The Rain" to the melancholy of "Water Shows the Hidden Heart" and "Amid the Falling Snow" and then to the tribal, propulsive "The River Sings". Overall, there is a somber mood to "Amarantine". Amidst a troubled world, it's so nice to have this beautiful music to relax to. Listening to Enya is like meeting an old friend. You don't ever want them to change : you just love them the way they are. But along with this unconditional love comes welcoming arms for growth and change. As Enya uses a ficticious language, Loxian, we see this growth and change in Enya. Also, Enya's voice is front and center on this album on some songs -- instead of the layered multi-dubs (I love both)-- "Amarantine" is a work of art from a woman with deep passions. We are so lucky to hear the sounds of such a Beautiful Soul -- as Enya. (As an aside, I just hope that we don't have to wait 5 years until the next recording) --- I love this album.

    Amarantine

Amarantine is a masterpiece work by Enya. At first I was unsure about the different languages. She sings one song in Japanese and a couple of songs in Loxian (elf language by JR Tolkein), however, Enya's voice is a perfect musical instrument blending language and tone. The songs flow into each other and the harmonies just take me in and stay with me long after I've turned off the album.

    Amarantine

Amarantine is a collection of soft, gentle tunes. At first I struggled with not understanding the language in some of the songs, but the music has a magical quality that just takes me in. Enya is so multi-talented in different languages and playing different instruments. I just love the harmony and how the songs all seem to follow each other.

    A breath-taking, emotion-evoking album

Enya has always been one of my favorite Celtic/New Age artists. Ever since I first heard "Orinoco Flow" on one of the Pure Moods albums, I was hooked. Much like Loreena McKennitt (another admirable artist), Enya has done the amazing yet again. I had planned on purchasing "Amarantine" but was instead given the cd as a Christmas gift. The first time I listened to it, I felt my heart move. The title song is so beautiful, it leaves one wanting to hear more. One of the songs moved me to tears, "If I Could Be With You". It just brought a well-spring of memories that I couldn't help but display the emotion I felt in the song. The album overall is magnificent, truly emotional.

    Breathtaking, Exquisite

This is a MASTERPIECE of music, it truly defines what real talent is compared to manufactured music, Enya, in her power has once again after 5 years provided the Universe with a beautiful awesome, album. This woman's success is proven, without media, without using and abusing sex appeal to sell her records. Enya can only make you feel great, good, wholesome, worthwile and want to dance...esspecially to "The River Sings" the most up-beat Enya song to date!!! with over 80 million sold so far... 5 Stars Enya, the world loves you!

    Another Wonderful Work

Could not wait for this CD to come out, had feared Enya had quit the business it took her so long to come out with this one, but it was worth the wait, and I was not disappointed. This CD is very similar to her last one, but this one has a bit more melancholy to it. Enya seems to be expressing feelings over the loss of a relationship as several of her songs are on that theme, but they are wonderful none the less. Very Highly Recommend this CD.
