    Soap Opera Before Television

Keneally has written a fast paced, engaging account of notorious Dan Sickles life. The story is fascinating and rivals modern day television soaps for plot twists, intrigue, decadence, morality, immorality, politics, scandal and more. While perhaps not agreeing with Sickles' life choices, the reader will be held morbidly fascinated. What a life he led! Keneally also delivers so many intersections of fate, time and personalities that I have an entire list of items to research and read about further. Enjoyed the book immensely
