Several decades ago when this book was written it would be certainly the greatest artist anatomy guide for its accurate illustration and in-depth analysis of classic works. But in present days it seems a little bit outdated for the poor photo quality and insufficient points of view. Several recently published books would be nice such as Human Anatomy for Artists: The Elements of Form by Eliot Goldfinger, which contains highly detailed interpretation of the human form, and Anatomy for the Artist by Sarah Simblet with very high quality photos of representative models. However, if you are a beginner artist on a budget, this book is more than enough for you to have a basic understanding of human anatomy. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
