Even if you are a strong supporter of the death penalty, you cannot ignore the injustices that seemed to pervade this case. Bonner shares the story of a small town murder in SC and the rush to name a killer. As the story unfolds, this reader found herself screaming at the book because of the obvious unfair treatment of Edward Elmore, a developmentally disabled African American man who claims innocence to this day. Bonner places the reader on the edge of their seat from the first page and does not allow them to leave until the last page. An amazing story of arrorney Diana Holt, who will never give up on his innocence!
