Great Book!
I just thought the whole Word and the Void Trilogy moved fast and so far has been the best stuff I have read by Brooks. The Shannara series is great, but I think this prequel series takes it up another notch!

Good book
It was a classic Terry Brooks, but it kind of just died off at the end. Not as big as I thought it would be. I was almost shocked that I was in the last chapter.

Better than an ending...
"Angel Fire East" is a great finish to the "Word and the Void" Trilogy with climactic action and, as always, great character development. Terry Brooks leaves a little cliff-hanger ending to await "Armageddon's Children" and continues to build a fabulous prequel series to the world of Shannara.

Good Fantasy Book.
This book is a good conclusion to the Word vs. Void series. The book starts off slow but picks up after awhile. The characters are believeable and well discribed just as good as in 'A Knight of the Word'. The book has plenty of action in it. I have to say that I like 'A Knight of the Word' better than this one, but I would recommend this series to anyone who likes fantasy books.

Mediocrity Reigns when the Word Faces the Void
As a conclusion to a trilogy, this book leaves much to be desired. John Ross has been promised an end to his time as a knight of the word after this final quest, and he has captured a gypsy morph, powerful wild magic, in order to fulfill that quest. He goes to Nest Freemark, the perennially dull magic user and Olympic runner on the side, to help him with the morph. Against Ross, Nest and their random allies, Brooks has a company of four demons who feel like they've been imported from the world of the Shannaras to add life to this dying series. Two Bears, the powerful, enigmatic Indian who has helped Ross and Nest is, well, enigmatic. The supporting characters in the town of Hopewell who seemed interesting and fresh in Running With the Demon have become dull caricatures of themselves; the sole exception being the magical sylvan, Pick. The ending leaves much to be desired, and the fate of the gypsy morph, the center of the conflict, is simultaneously poorly resolved and revoltingly sentimental.

Best Yet!!!
2... That is the number of days I read this book in. I couldn't put the book down. Brooks is by far the greatest science fiction writer ever.
