Another Great Connelly Read
The Bosch series just continues to get better with each book. I thought Angels Flight started out just a little slow, but once the pace picked up, it really got rolling. Connelly is a master at this genre, developing believeable plot and side storylines and producing characters with depth. I have no intention of stopping here - gonna keep reading all the Bosch books in order.

Great Summer Read
Gritty and dark but the dialog is spot on. If you like the genre you will keep turning those pages and put off all those chores just to see what happens next. Lots of twists and rabbit trails to follow,

There Must Be Two Connelly's?
I kept hearing so much about this author. I was kind of excited to read
some of his books after practically exhausting all of the Robert Crais book list. I guess I must have been used to Crais' wonderful, entertaining and wisecracking fun because when my husband bought a three in one hardback of Connelly's, I started with Angel's Flight and while
the storyline was interesting, the reading was just b-o-r-i-n-g!!
I could barely drag through it and there is no and I mean NO
wisecracking or lightness or anything that might even consider breaking the monotony with a smile even.
I hate that I have this huge book now but I guess I'll try The Last Coyote but if it's that flatline on the writing, I'm giving the book to the library.
Just awful. Has this guy ever heard of a sense of humor?
I'd suggest Crais or Marshall Karp anyday over this guy.0 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

Better late than never
About three months ago I got turned on to Michael Connelly's books and I don't know how I hadn't heard about him before. I started with his first in the Bosch series, "The Black Echo" and now have just finished "Angels Flight" and I continue to be impressed. Connelly does a good job of allowing any of the books to be read by themselves, without having read any of the books prior to it in the series. I think Angels Flight is one of his more emotional and dramatic so far. But I do recommend you start at the beginning and get to know Harry Bosch and his world that Connelly has created.

good stuff
Great book start to finish. Like all Connelly books, you always get sucked into believing one thing and then he pulls you another. Good story, Great ending. The only reason this is a four is becuase I believe yuo can only reach perfection once and he did so with Lost Light. That was by far my favorite Bosch novel. Good Stuff

very good crime drama within the LAPD
The story keeps you guessing and the conflict within the characters is intense. The guts of the LAPD are laid open and the unfortunate 'good guys finish last' theme is so entrenched in the story that it is frustrating at times. The story plays on the stereotypes that we all do not want to admit that we have in our minds. All seem to be covered and in doing so, the book reaches deep into heart of society's problems.

Outstanding!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You always here someone write one of theses things saying this is one of my first books I read from this or that Author.....Well, here is another one. I picked up this book by chance in the bargain area of B&N....Im glad I did. This book is thoroughly thought out and has a solid plot. The story isnt far fetched and; it entices you to just read on. Connelly is brilliant in this masterpiece of fiction. I STRONGLY recomend this book to all you crime/mystery/suspense readers. You wont regret it...I promise. Before reading this book I was a die hard James Petterson fan, But Connelly makes Paterson look like a pre-school novelist. I still love Patterson, but I am proud to say Connelly is my new favorite author!

Bosch for President
I enjoyed this book alot. This is the book that got me hooked on Harry Bosch. He is refreshing and he has idiosyncracies that make his character. The plot is complicated and detailed. I loved it.

a gripping mystery, great writing
This is the third Connelly mystery I've read and I've enjoyed each one more than the last. This story was difficult to leave alone even when I knew I should be doing other things. Connelly's writing is tight and he never loses a detail. The story is not for the faint hearted but current and full of surprises

Hold on to your hats, we've got another winner here!
I've been reading Connelly's writings since The Black Echo, and it gets better every time. Angel's Flight is his best writing yet. You can't help but feel for Harry Bosch. Every time he picks himself up, someone or something comes along and knocks him down again. Last word: LOVED IT!
