Great book until....

This was probably the bes Bosch story until the end. It seemed rather sudden without much explanation.

    Highly recommend

If you love detective stories Harry Bosch is one of the BEST! Angles Flight is great but I highly recommend if you read this series begin with the first one. I started with number 10 and had to go back and read all of them. I am now on 11. (They are so good I read number 10 about two months ago).

    Another Great Connelly Read

The Bosch series just continues to get better with each book. I thought Angels Flight started out just a little slow, but once the pace picked up, it really got rolling. Connelly is a master at this genre, developing believeable plot and side storylines and producing characters with depth. I have no intention of stopping here - gonna keep reading all the Bosch books in order.

I am currently reading all of Michael Connelly's Harry Bosch series in order, and I LOVE them. I am a big mystery/detective story fan, and I have tried so many different series from different authors, but I finally found the one for me! What can I say? I often find myself not really liking the main characters in novels, but I truly like Harry; he is a good guy - not perfect, but he works hard, isn't a womanizer, and isn't overly macho. All of the stories are well-written, realistic, contain surprises and twists, and keep me hooked until the very end. My favorites have been The Black Echo (#1), The Concrete Blonde (#3), Trunk Music (#5), City of Bones (#8), The Narrows (#10), although again - I enjoyed all of them. If you like detective mystery novels, you won't be disappointed with Michael Connelly and Harry Bosch.

Lots of twist and turns.  Feel the book gave enough background that if you hadn't read the others you could have followed the characters.  I was with it right up to the end, would have liked justice for the child.  Peaked you're interest?  Read and find out.

    Bosch...

It's Bosch.. it's always Bosch. It's another great crime story that was easy to get wrapped up in, with a side of Bosch life drama that seems to follow him.
I always feel like I say the same things in my reviews for Harry Bosch books - loved the story, love Bosch, hate that he has so much turmoil in his life, love how it plays into the story or makes him who he is.

I keep reading his stories so I guess I kinda like him :)

    Great Read!

I love the Harry Bosch series, so going back to read some of the earlier books in the series since have read the newer ones. Very suspenseful as Harry deals with the politics of the LAPD.

An activist attorney is killed in a cute little L.A. trolley called Angels Flight, far from Harry Bosch's Hollywood turf. But the case is so explosive--and the dead man's enemies inside the L.A.P.D. are so numerous--that it falls to Harry to solve it. Now the streets are super heating. Harry's year-old Vegas marriage is unraveling. And the hunt for a killer is leading Harry to another high-profile L.A. murder case, one where every cop had a motive.

    The good and the bad

    1. Battery power needs improving
    2. When I open the book I am reading, it sometimes opens on a blank page then I have to go back a few pages and then go forward so that I can get back to the page that I was reading.
    3. Sometimes the book opens about 100 pages ahead from where I was.
    4. Sometimes when I want to go to the next page, it wont let me so I have to back up 2 or 3 pages and then go forward to get the next page that I wanted.

The original NOOK that I owned had a feature that I liked better. It showed all the authors that I have with all the books of that particular author listed underneath and the authors were all listed in alphabetical order. Pictures of the books are not necessary

All this does not mean that I am dissatisfied, and I really like the in-store service. Its first class.

    Angels Flight

Michael Connelly is, for my money, the number one producer of the page-turner. Like Harry Bosch with his cases, once I start these books I can't let up. I never reveal plot details but this deals with the murder of a civil rights attorney and it leads Bosch on a welcome investigation filled with twists, breaks and heartbreak. I found Blood Work kind of disappointing but there hasn't been one Bosch novel I wasn't taken by.

    WOW! Another great Connelly book!

Would LOVE to meet "Harry Bosch". I can hardly wait to read the next Harry Bosch every time I finish a Harry Bosch book. I'm catching up but am happy that there are many more to read. Thanks Michael! Keep 'em comin'!

    Great Summer Read

Gritty and dark but the dialog is spot on. If you like the genre you will keep turning those pages and put off all those chores just to see what happens next. Lots of twists and rabbit trails to follow,

    There Must Be Two Connelly's?

I kept hearing so much about this author. I was kind of excited to read
some of his books after practically exhausting all of the Robert Crais book list. I guess I must have been used to Crais' wonderful, entertaining and wisecracking fun because when my husband bought a three in one hardback of Connelly's, I started with Angel's Flight and while
the storyline was interesting, the reading was just b-o-r-i-n-g!!
I could barely drag through it and there is no and I mean NO
wisecracking or lightness or anything that might even consider breaking the monotony with a smile even.
I hate that I have this huge book now but I guess I'll try The Last Coyote but if it's that flatline on the writing, I'm giving the book to the library.
Just awful. Has this guy ever heard of a sense of humor?
I'd suggest Crais or Marshall Karp anyday over this guy.
