The first Eternity Springs contemporary mountain romance is a warm inspiring linear tale

Architect Gabriel Callahan's life ended in Virginia when his wife Jen and their son Mathew passed away; today his child would be six years old. Out walking in the snowy Murphy Mountains Just outside of Eternity Springs, Colorado, he trips but does not bother to get up. Instead he pulls out a glock with one bullet in it when a beast jumps on his back with claws ripping him. Thinking it is amountain lion, he is ready to fight for his life when he hears the sound of barking from a mangy boxer who tongues him in joy. Realizing the irony, Gabe laughs for the first time in months.

Gabe brings the injured canine to Eternity Springs Veterinary Clinic where Dr. Nicole Sullivan practices animal medicine. As Dr. Nic cares for the unconscious boxer hurt by an animal trap, she also notices Gabe's shirt is bloody from the dog's claws and teeth. She cleans his cuts and quarantines the canine until they can insure he is not rabid. Starting with the canine and soon "volunteering" on a renovation project, Gabe finds the townsfolk will not leave him alone. Finally there is Dr. Nic who he liked even before the dog introduced him to her. However, though she makes it clear she loves him as does Clarence the dog; he knows love hurts fearing this second chance to breathe again.

The first Eternity Springs contemporary mountain romance is a warm inspiring linear tale starring two likable individuals who have found possible second chances at life in the Rocky Mountains if they take the risk; she is willing and has with her veterinary practice while he hesitates. Aptly named Clarence is more an angel than a just a dog as readers will believe It's A Wonderful Dog's Life.

    Feel Good Story

I really liked this story. At times the storyline was a bit whimsy for my taste, almost took one an angelic feel, like the author wanted you to believe in fairy tales, but it wasn't the main focus of the story. The main characters were great, Gabe was so broken and was looking for something he didn't know he was needing and Nic was so battered from a recent betrayal and old daddy wounds. The secondary characters were delightful. It was so nice to meet so many townsfolk and get a "feel" for Eternity Springs. The camaraderie and friendships had a Virgin River (Robyn Carr) feel. This book had it all, an epic love story, a mystery by way of a 100 year old dead bride, and a town banding together to make their town great again.

    Highly Recommend....Great Read.

I loved this book, am now going to buy Hummingbird Lake. I had not heard of Emily March, until this sundays Ft. Worth Star Telegram did and article on her. Realized that she also lives in North Texas. I will be reading all of her books, this one was super.

Highly Recommended - a book you can't put down, you will love that much!

I read both Angel's Rest and Hummingbird Lake and loved them both - great books that carry the story from book to book. Gabriel Callahan and the people of Eternity Springs live life to the fullest and learn that every day there are new things to learn about themselves and their neighbors every day. I can't wait to get my hands on the next book -- they make you want to find your own Eternity Springs to live in -- small town living sounds great where people are real and you know there is always something to talk about and enjoy. The men sound yummy!!!!!

    Wonderful New Series

I really enjoyed this book. If you read Emily as Gerilyn Dawson this is actually a continuation of her Callahan series. It is John's story.
But this is also the first of her Eternity Springs series. Wonderful charcters in the book, can't wait for the other 2 books to come out. I wish I could live in Eternity Springs and have these people as friends.

    Loved it!

Interesting characters and storyline. I am happy to read that more is on the way and I cannot wait! If you like Debbie Macomber and Robyn Carr and Sherryl Wood (who all have storylines that continue in future books) you will like this.

I loved the story lines that are setting up as well as the main theme of this book. I am looking forward to her next tale.
The characters are real and the setting ideal. I wonder if such a place does exisit in today's world.
