This is the 7th book in the Seaside Knitters Mystery, with #8 due out this year. In this book Izzy and Sam are married and soon to be parents. Izzy is still running her yarn shop and Sam is photographing anything that will hold still for him. The rest of the gang is back, knitting away at things for the new little one, looking forward to the birth of the baby.
When 19 year old Justin Dorsey dies in a diving accident, the knitters and his cousin Janie, have trouble accepting it. When the news is released that Justin was murdered no one can believe it.  Janie and Justin had had words the previous evening, but surely Janie had nothing to do with it. When it’s discovered that Justin was not what the ladies thought he was, the reasons for his murder start piling up.
The birth of Izzy’s baby, and the happiness and joy the baby brings helps to ease the pain of Justin’s death, Justin may not have been perfect and he may have made many mistakes in his short life, but he was after all, just a human.
I have had the pleasure of reading all of the books in this series and find the closeness of the women and their husbands and boyfriends always make me wish to live in Sea Harbor. The characters that Ms. Goldenbaum gives us could truly be a friend or neighbor to any of us. Ms. Goldenbaum weaves stories that are believable and heartfelt and I hope there are many more to follow.
