Charlene Teglia is quickly becoming one of my favorite erotica authors. Her stories have a bit of a darker edge yet don¿t cross the line of suspense or horror¿they aren¿t THAT dark. And her touch with love scenes is very good, there¿s no doubt the stories are erotica, yet I don¿t lose the story because of the sex, if you follow. Her latest, ¿Animal Attraction¿, is paranormal erotica that actually made logic of a multiple-partner love scene and a ménage relationship.

Chandra has long come to terms with being an adopted child. She never lost interest in finding out about her birth parents, but hasn¿t had much luck with that so far. Since her twenty-first birthday though, things have been getting a bit strange. There are the strange dreams that she can¿t quite remember, her senses are doing strange things, and now she has apparently made enemies out of total strangers! Like today, when three people tried to knife her and some hottie saved her and then kissed her. But he was dangerous; she could just `feel¿ it. Then she finds out what¿s going on and what makes her so different¿she¿s a rare female werewolf, about to go through her first change, and to really belong to the local pack she needs to be intimate with a dozen dazzling specimens of manhood and then pick one to be her mate and king. Ohhhh kay.

Like I said, somehow Teglia made the whole one female, twelve men orgy scene logical, and let me tell you that¿s no easy feat! There are, of course, sexual positions and acts galore in this story, but none of them overshadow the story itself. Instead they are an intricate part of the tale which is, for me, the true mark of erotica. The acts are described in graphic terms which may offend non-erotica readers so be warned. There are scenes with one, two, three, and four partners; oral sex, anal sex, vaginal sex, and skin sex. All described in a manner that will make you reach for a fan, a glass of water, and maybe even a cigarette when you¿re done!

¿Animal Attraction¿ is going directly to my keeper shelf¿do not pass go, do not collect $200. It¿s a story that has many of my favorite themes in paranormal erotica: werewolves (of course, I don¿t turn away vampires either!), a strong heroine who does some butt-kicking herself, normality turned upside-down, a ménage with a happily ever after, and all sex is hot, safe, and consensual. If these things `call¿ to the animal in you, you¿ll definitely love Charlene Teglia¿s latest.Show Less

It wasn't good, but it wasn't the worst I've ever read.

The plot was good. But she could have written it so much... neater. The writing was just plain sloppy. The author didn't seem to put any effort into making you feel the characters feelings. All in all I don't recommend buying this book. It's not worth spending money on....Read More

This is an interesting heated urban romantic fantasy

In spite of being caught by surprise at a Tysons Corner, Virginia mall where she works as she initially thought Zach the customer and the trio were enemy gangbusters; Chandra Walker adapts well to being a werewolf. However, she does not acclimatize herself to the ritual of her new pack. She must test each male in bed and select her mate. Whomever she chooses wilt become pack leader.

Thirteen studs and little to choose between them as all are hot, built and incredible sex machines. Struggling with whom to choose, the pack comes under attack from an unholy alliance between rogue werewolves and were-panthers. Only Chandra with the right mate can save the pack.

This is an interesting heated urban romantic fantasy based on an intriguing premise that a tyro female werewolf must test thirteen hunks to determine who is her soul mate and rightful pack leader at a time when their clan is under siege. The key to the entertaining story line is the chosen female as Chandra has abandonment issues and is used to going it alone, but now has to adjust to a pack of virile males wanting her and needing to protect her like a queen. Fans will relish this fine version of sexual Survivor as time is running out on Chandra and her retinue.

    erotic romance at it's best

I have never been into erotic romance but read this book at the suggestion of a friend. I was pleasantly surprised has a plot. Good read for a cloudy day. I was left wishing that this group of characters will appear again and maybe be fleshed out with a little more detail as to their backgrounds and personal traits.

    Good read

I enjoyed reading this book. Very hot! Only reason i gave it three stars is because i felt it could have/needed to be longer. More information regarding the people in it.

    not recommened

I was not impressed with this book at all. It couldn't decide whether it was going for laughs or for sex. Yes, there was multiple partners but the character devolpment was poor, so you felt little connection with the story. I wouldn't have minded that, if the sex was hot-it wasn't....same formula over and over, with some sort of forest sprite that looked like it was thrown in because the author herself was bored.

Loved all the cast of characters

I didn't think the author, Charlene Teglia, could pull an orgy off but by the end of the story, I loved the girl as well as all the guys in the book. I'm a fan of contemporary paranormal fantasy so it was a little light on the action/mystery that you get in a true fantasy novel but the love scenes were so well done and HOT, HOT, HOT that any failures in the story were made up by the romance. I agree with some reviewers who think that the story was cut short but the problem really is that as a reader you want to see this book turned into a series so that we get more in depth character development (lucky for us a second book is on the way). This was the first book that I read by Teglia. I've since picked up all her other books that are in print. This is still my favorite but she is now one of my favorite authors.

Steamy, but Loses it at the End

If you like Erotica, you will enjoy this book. It is a quick, fun read, and it makes you want to finish the book in one sitting. But the end is rather disappointing. The turns the plot takes are not what you would expect. All in all it is an ok book. Great for a rainy day or passing time.

Read everything Charlene Teglia and you won't be dissappointed

Teglia is one of my favorite authors of this genre, so I pick up everything she writes. This one was really good, but not my favorite of hers...her charector development is stronger in other books. Otherwise, she captures one's attention with a juicy and well described emotional context of the protagonist, and keeps it with great development in action. I wasn't disappointed. Enjoy Teglia. She's good.

A nice way to pass the time

I thought this story was interesting until I got further to the end. It didn't really GO anywhere. The drama was quick and minimal and over before anything could build up. I could have been so much more. But at least the stuff in the middle was steam-o-rific!
