This is the best ANNIE, GET YOUR GUN recording!

I have to admit that I was disappointed when I opened a Christmas present six years ago and found some ''London Cast'' recording of ANNIE, GET YOUR GUN--a show I had recently seen. (I knew that my dad had picked it out! He based which version to get based on familiarity; he remembered Suzi Quatro from her HAPPY DAYS days.) But after listening to it, I realized how lucky I was to have such a great CD! The singers are great and really capture the essence of the show. Quatro doesn't try to put on a fake accent (like Bernadette Peters, whom I love, though) and is totally anti-Merman. The orchestrations are wonderful, and certain vocal arrangements (missing from other recordings) strike me as truly genius (especially when Annie sings with the guys in ''No Business Like Show Business.'') The only negative comment I have about this CD is that it does not have the reprise of ''No Business Like Show Business''--whose lyrics I love--and miscellaneous ANNIE... songs like ''Who Do You Love, I Hope'' and ''I'll Share it All with You.''
