Annie Liebovitz is a fascinating person as well as a photographer.

Annie's personality and the whys of her photography don't come through very well in this book. It's fascinating to discover the person behind the photographs. While she excelled in bringing out the real person she was photographing, the book seems to leave me a bit starved about Annie Liebovitz, the person. I stopped reading about half way, but I treasure this book and its photos all the same.

A book for those who appreciate photography

Annie Liebowitz is one of the finest photographers in the US, if not the world. She has the ability to capture the essence of people in her photographs. This book tells about Annie herself, but is well peppered with her photographs.

A fun, easy read about an interesting photographer and person.

Annie Leibovitz at Work is not a typical "how-to" manual. Annie Leibovitz explores her career and what she has learned from her assignments and her subjects. I found the book to be motivational and entertaining as Ms. Leibovitz explains the circumstances of each of the photographs featured. I found the transition from staff photographer at Rolling Stone to her assignments for Vanity Fair and other magazines to be interesting and instructional. The book is an easy read, as all the chapters are short and the subjects interesting. The only fault I found with the book was that there were photographs and subjects missing from the book, that I would have liked to read about.
