A year after the surgeon was arrested, (last novel) and with many emotional and physical scars later Detective Rizzoli is called to another murder scene with chilling similarities to the Surgeon Case. After the investigation gets under way FBI agent Gabriel Dean shows up and is given all access to the investigation. Jane does not understand why he was called. Her puzzlement only increases as he seems to mysteriously know where to look for evidence and what kind of evidence to look for. The next strange thing: Warren Hoyt "the surgeon" escapes from prison and appears to be working with the Dominator. A lot of shocking twists ahead! Well worth your time!

Yup, she is in the sophomore slump!

The Surgeon was great and I think Ms. Gerritsen's publisher wanted another book fast...too fast. This book is a little clumsy and a lot predictable. Not a horrible read, but not one I would recommned as an intro into Gerritsen's work.

after seeing tv series I wanted to read the book. Entertaining and OK but doesn't compare to Patterson Womens Murder Club. But for fun reading OK

    Another great read.

Rizzoli and Isles go after another arch criminal. Suspenseful to the end.

Highly checked - you must recommend it!

This is a book by Tess Gerritsen. It is about two women, one in a knee-length red skirt, and also some other people. Read it if you feel you must.
I would read other books by this author if I was paid enough to do so.
    Wouldn't you?

    Are you kidding me

Absolutely atrocious writing! Ninety nine percent of the book directly involved the main character Jane Rizzoli. There was marginal direct involvement of the character Warren Hoyt and practically nothing to develop the character of the 'Apprentice'. I found myself questioning many of the situations in the book. They either lacked in originality to the point where the situation was too farfetched to be believable, or the situation seemed to lack any relevance to the general flow of the storyline. The ending was truly disappointing as it both peaked and concluded literally within a mere couple paragraphs. If you want something riveting that will keep you on the end of your seat, keep looking.
