Daddy Fat Sacks and Dre top themselves

The first CD to launch Andre 3000 and Big Boi, better known as Outkast, into the mainstream would have to be the album Aquemini. Popular singles ¿Rosa Parks¿ and ¿Skew It On the Bar-B¿ had the catchy beats and choruses to capture the TRL audience, and they also include more unconventional rap songs, such as ¿SpottieOttieDopalicious¿. One of my favorite tracks, ¿SpottieOttieDopalicious¿, features a more spoken word approach over an addictive beat, with a great horn and guitar partnership between verses. Aquemini shows a maturing in the rap duo since their 1996 release, ATLiens, the Atlanta based team incorporates a variety of instruments such as the harmonica, piano, trumpet and kalimba. The album also features the vocal assistance of old school rap pioneer George Clinton, Raekwon, and fellow Atlantans Goodie Mob. This is probably the best CD to come out of Atlanta and is a must have for any fan of ¿down south¿ tunes.
