This book is lacking compared to Veiled Eyes and Disembodied Bones (books 1 and 2 of the Lake People series). There was over development of some plot points and then abrubt realizations that are just spelled out for the reader. It was a good enough read, but not as satisfying as the previous Lake People books.

Not as good as the others

I really enjoyed the other Lake People books but this one lost my attention. The first half of the book was fantastic, but then it all fell apart. I keep trying to finish it, but find myself skipping pages at a time . That is never a good sign. Plus, and it could be because i havn't finished it, i don't see how it fits with the Lake series aside from telepathy.
