Many plots to follow, decent sci-fi book but be ready to keep up.

There are several subplots in this story which can make it a little confusing at times. The main characters are flawed and don't fit the mold of what a hero should be but this will only make them more believable. The story switches point of view several times without much explanation as to who the reader is now shadowing. If you want a book that is a casual read this may not be the book. It had good detail in regards to what had taken place to make the story happen. There is so much going on that putting the book down and trying to come back to it may be a problem if you don't retain everything you have already read.

    Nothing special

If I could give it 2.5 stars I would but I'm rounding down. Starship Troopers is an all-time favorite of mine but I can objectively say this book in no way has the depth of that story. My three critics: 1' the reason why all this is happening and why is he 'or anybody else for that matter' there is in this situation? 1a' it's hinted at first and confirmed at the end why he is, but - ehh 2' Maybe I'm spoiled by W.E.B. Griffin books and the like, but the military aspect is dull and unimaginative 3' and mostly, the writing is nothing special and at times nags at me as something a kid would type out along the lines of, 'And he was all alone, but still killed over a thousand enemies, that came from him at every side, with his bare hands after his rifle gave out and made it back to safety - again! 'Not a direct quote, but that's the idea.' I'm always looking for the next great read, and if you're like me and are always hoping to find that 'something' in the book you pick up that makes it above average, then I don't think you'll get too much of a kick out of this one.

    Armor: a review

I was told to read this book from many sources, it seemed every source thought that this was a masterpiece of science fiction. Many claimed it to be better than Starship Troopers. After hearing all of this I had high hopes for this book though I never belived it could out do Starship Troopers. Well after reading it I found I was right, I was not impressed with the story line and found it at times very hard to follow. It did have some good action scenes though but they could not make up for a poor writing and a plot that was sketchy. I gave it two stars only due to the action scenes. It isn't Starship Troopers.
