Good bedside companion
This is a nice little bedside companion. It contains 108 lessons in mindfulness: ways to be present in the moment. It describes meditation as "paying attention" & mindfulness as"moment to moment ,non-judgmental awareness."
In our very busy , hectic, electronic world, it's nice to be reminded of how good it is to be quiet & savor the "now" just as it is, not wishing it or ourselves to be anything different.I like the quote,"It is indeed a radical act of love just to sit down & be quiet for a time by yourself."This book is a gentle introduction to meditation always encouraging you to be kind & compassionate with yourself.
