Limited Range of Featured Lighting
I had anticipated this book as I have visited the authors' store in PA, but was deeply disappointed by the content. The book is lovely with beautiful photos, but the range of lamps shown in the book is very limited and disappointing. For example, one of the foremost designers of deco lighting during the period, Frankart, is essentially ignored in this book -- something that surprised me as the store did feature Frankart lamps prominently. Additionally, other companies such as Nuart and its additional division Gift House, Ronson, Betty Becks are omitted. Also, the list prices are very high and not what I would see in most stores and antique shows. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great Art Deco Lighting Reference
This book shines a spotlight on ART Deco lighting of all kinds, shapes and sizes. This book is richly illustrated with some 300 full color photographs and details of each photo. The photos really show the detail in the items. The book is 5 chapters and biblio. The book covers covers figural and accent lamps, table lamps, wall and overhead lighting, lighted smoking stands and floor ashtrays, floor lighting. I really prize this book. Was this review helpful?
